A recent news report from Omaha reported that gophers wielding machine guns held a group of people at the local movie theater hostage. A survivor commented, “They was jus’ sittin’ on them rocks, all quiet-like.”
The crisis was resolved after the army chased the gophers out with an M1 Abram tank. Here is a photo of their ring leader who was gunned down by the national guard.
